River City Cycles Brisbane

Opening its doors in 1996 through the drive of well respected Australian cyclist John Buckley, River City Cycles has grown and expanded in its 12 year history. On the back of Australian Champion, John Buckley and long serving (10 years) Craig Saunders, the business has taken accolades' from Queensland's best Bike shop in 1999 as well as best shop employee in Craig for both the years of 1998-99.

Building on 8 years of loyal experience and service, the passing of the River City flame occurred in late 2005 with Craig Saunders and Bernard Curran purchasing the business from John. Craig, bringing with him years of retail cycling experience, as well as years of race experience representing his once home land of New Zealand along with Bernard's Finance skills and broad industry knowledge are taking the business forward in 2010 and beyond.

River City Cycles has always been dynamic and positive for the local community, working in local cycle and triathlon clubs, schools and businesses. These activities are reflected in people of all sorts able to achieve their goals facilitated by the working ethics of River City cycles.

River City is a go forward business. Things are looking bright for us as we head toward a prosperous business future. Our reach has felt Triathlon, Mountain biking and road cycling involving all of our customers as much as possible whilst meeting all of their needs. We are looking forward to continuing our customer awareness evenings, workshops and product testing to really bring all involved with River City Cycles lifestyle program a sense of community and ownership.
