Originally from Sydney, Lauren is a recently adopted Queenslander having moved from the bitterly cold training environment of her original home in Canberra to the glorious warmth of the sunshine state. She openly claims that having never represented NSW in cycling that if state of origin does find its way to track cycling, she'll be proudly wearing the maroon! Queenslander!!!
Lauren's a trackie at heart who loves to push the limits of pain, both for herself and her competitors to see who eventually comes out on top. With her quiet disposition she also has a sharp mind, combining training and racing with studies in Pharmacy at UQ. Always keen for a chuckle too, Lauren's become renowned for her quietly witty additions to the comedic banter of state and national junior teams alike.
Lauren has been quite the success story since shifting her attention from hockey to cycling in 2015 and has won multiple international, national and state junior titles both on the road and the track. She has represented Australia at the past two Junior World Championships and narrowly missed the Australian record at this year's competition in Germany. As a member of Cycling Australia's Developing rider category, Lauren has her eyes on senior team representation and maybe Olympic selection in 2024.
