The YAMPA carbon fat frame is the fastest fat bike on the market with available builds weighing less than 22 pounds. We designed the seatstays to allow for ideal vertical frame flex while maintaining unmatched lateral stiffness through a massive bottom bracket and overbuilt chainstays—the YAMPA rider can get out of the saddle and accelerate thanks to very efficient bottom bracket energy transfer. Weaving through tight singletrack with nimble front-end handling is easy thanks to the tapered headtube, Borealis FF1 tapered fork and 15mm thru axle.
Hand built wheels with Borealis FH1 hubs laced to Turnagain FR80 rims are standard, with your choice of tires and color schemes. We offer Surly Bud and Lou, Big Fat Larry, and also Surly Knard or 45NRTH Husker DU tires in either 27 or 120 TPI. Borealis FH1 hubs come in red and black; Turnagain FR80 rims come in red, black, silver, and blue; rim strips come in red, black, blue, and white.
The 2014 YAMPA is an adventure machine ready to explore.
Named after Echo Canyon in Dinosaur National Monument up in the northwestern boonies of Colorado, the echo is the first performance-oriented, full carbon frame designed around the brand new RockShox BLUTO fat bike suspension fork. The extreme lateral stiffness combined with geometry optimized for the BLUTO's 100mm of travel truly revolutionized fat biking. We also spec 35mm clamp stems and handlebars on our top two build kit models; this new oversized standard is a perfect match for the extra-wide tires of fat bikes. Internal dropper seatpost routing is the cherry on top of the echo's design features that make it stand out as a do anything, ride anywhere, year round adventure shredding machine.
You'll have to go ride one for yourself to find out just how much fun you'll have.
The echo is the first carbon fat bike frame ever to be designed specifically around the BLUTO fork.
